Forests
There’s something about forests. It’s not just the way they look, but how they feel to be in. Quiet, alive, and connected, above and below the ground.
I feel at home there. The light is always shifting, moving through the trees with the weather and the seasons. No two moments are the same. I often return to the same locations, photographing them again and again as they change. There’s a presence in forests that’s hard to explain. The scale of the trees, the way they stand, rooted, steady, unaffected by everything moving around them. There’s strength in that. Something grounded, almost in contrast to the chaos outside of them.
At times it feels almost unreal, like stepping into something older, more timeless. That’s what I’m drawn to. Trying to capture a part of that.
